I rent out a flat in a Victorian house that was converted 20 years ago. I only own one of the six flats, but am a joint owner of the management company. The house has three floors and two flats on each floor. I hear there are new rules about renting out houses with three or more storeys. Do I have to do anything?
I bought a brand new car from a dealership for £12,000. It came with an incentive of £250 that I had to reclaim from the manufacturer. I’ve only had the car two weeks, but it’s two months since I ordered it. Yesterday I saw in my junk file an email from the manufacturer sent not long after I ordered the car. But the offer has expired. I simply hadn’t seen the link, and didn’t think it could have gone into my junk file till the dealer told me. Can I get the £250 which was an incentive for me to buy in the first place?
My neighbour has a number of trees in their garden. When my new property was built, a wall that supported the bank was removed by the builder and replaced with a fence. The neighbour has asked that I sign to accept liability if the trees came down. Am I obliged to do this?
