Brixham murder still unsolved

Police have renewed appeal for information

Police are still hunting those responsible for the death of 49 year old David Williams.

He died after being assulted on the Quay in Brixham in the early hours of Friday the 29th of June.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Lee Natrass from the Major Crime Team, said: “Within the last week officers from Devon and Cornwall Police’s Major Crime Team have re-interviewed five Brixham men aged 21, 23, 27, 28 and 30 in connection with the death of David Williams outside of the Crown and Anchor Public House.

“During the course of this extensive investigation detectives have spoken to around 200 people and have obtained hundreds of statements and exhibits. Specialist officers continue to provide support to Mr Williams’ family.

“I would like to thank the community of Brixham for supporting the family of Mr Williams. We urge the community of Brixham to come together and to speak to detectives to help us understand what happened outside of the Crown and Anchor in Brixham.  

“If you were in the in the area of Brixham Quay overnight from the 28th into the 29th of June, and have still yet to have come forward to the Police, we are asking that you please pick up the phone and talk to us. 

“The Family of David Williams deserve answers and closure, and a detail no matter how small, could be vital to our investigation.”
