Cameron 'will speak to Putin' over the Arctic 30

The Prime Minister has said he's willing to make direct contact with the Russian president over the Exeter man and five other Britons being held there for protesting against oil drilling in the Arctic.

Iain Rogers from Countess Wear is among the Greenpeace activists known as the Arctic 30 who were detained at gunpoint on September 19th.

The Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw has repeatedly called on David Cameron to put more pressure on the Russian authorities.

The Prime Minister has now told the Commons he will consider a direct approach to President Putin if it would be helpful.
