Rosies in Exeter submit licence application to City Council

Rosies, on Mary Arches Street, want to vary their premises license to allow them to stay open until 3am, Sunday to Thursday, and serve alcohol until 2.30am.

The license application, submitted to Exeter City Council this week, also requests the ability for films, dance, indoor sport, and live and recorded music to be allowed until 3am between Sunday and Thursday.

The conditions of the license, that allow alcohol to be served until 3.30am on Friday and Saturday and for it to stay open until 4am on those days would remain unchanged under the variation of the license plans.

Conditions of the license would include a minimum 30 minute winding down time prior to closing where alcohol cannot be served, signage asking revellers to make as little noise as possible when leaving, an announcement from any DJ asking customers to leave quietly, all instances of crime and disorder to be reported to the police, and CCTV to be installed and operated at all times.

Anyone wishing to comment on the plans must do in writing to Exeter City Council’s Licensing department by Thursday, September 20. The council’s licensing committee will make a decision on whether the license can be varied at a later date.
