Exeter Chiefs and Saracens has been put back by 24 hours

The Aviva Premiership Round 17 clash between Exeter Chiefs and Saracens has been put back by 24 hours and will now be played at Sandy Park on Sunday, March 4 (3pm).

The Met Office has upgraded the severe weather alert for much of Devon, including Exeter, Dartmoor and large parts of Mid Devon to a RED warning. Strong winds and heavy snow up to 20cm deep is highly likely.

The majority of events in Devon, including Premier League Darts tonight, have been cancelled for safety reasons. Today, Exeter Chiefs announced their game against Saracens will be put back 24 hours.

Club statement:

With all parts of the country currently being affected due to the inclement weather, discussions held today between Exeter Rugby Club and Premiership Rugby have decided that the fixture will now be delayed by a day.

Supporters who have tickets for the game are advised to take note of the change of day - and note that all tickets purchased will still be valid for the new date.

Any further match, weather and travel information with regards this weekend’s match will be conveyed through the club’s and Premiership Rugby’s official media channels at regular intervals.
