Falconer helps control seagulls in coastal towns

A falconer has been brought in to tackle the problem of nuisance seagulls in Exmouth, Sidmouth and Seaton.

He flies his birds near nesting sites to disrupt breeding without causing the gulls actual harm.

Takeaway food outlets have also been provided with stickers to put on their containers, reminding customers not to feed the gulls with their leftovers

The ideas came out of a 'seagull summit' organised by East Devon district council last year.
