More housing association tenants facing repossession

There's been an increase in the number of repossession cases brought against housing association tenants in the Exeter area.

The local Citizens Advice Bureau says the first six months of this financial year saw a rise of 16 per cent.

There was no increase in repossessions affecting people with a mortgage, or living in privately-rented accommodation.

The CAB's chief executive Steve Barriball says rising costs and welfare reforms are taking their toll.
