Planning approval for supermarket depot in east Devon

The supermarket company Lidl has been given planning permission to build a new depot near Exeter Airport - creating around 500 jobs.

The company is investing around 50 million pounds in the distribution centre which is due to open in August next year.

East Devon council has welcomed the investment and job creation in a key site - following a period of uncertainty after Sainsbury's bought it, but then put development on the back burner.

But Clyst Honiton parish council isn't happy - raising concerns about noise and traffic.
