Car hits tree at East Anstey
A 23-year-old man from the Minehead area has died following a single-vehicle crash near Tiverton on Saturday evening.
The silver Volkswagen Bora is thought to have gone out of control on a bend, left the road and collided with a tree at the side of the B3227 near Blackerton Cross at Eas Anstey near Tiverton.
Police haven't said at this stage how many people were in the car. Specialist roads policing officers together with local officers attended the scene, along with the ambulance and fire services. A forensic collision investigation took place.
Any witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 633 of 5 December, especially if they have any dashcam footage.
Police have thanked members of the public for their patience whilst the investigation went on and the road was cleared. They've passed sincere condolences to the family and friends of the man who has died.
