In partnership with InExeter Sancho's are excited to be hosting Exeter’s second annual Slow Fashion Show on 21st September at Exeter Cathedral, as part of Exeter Fashion & Beauty Week 2019. It will be an evening to celebrate independent fashion and creativity in the South West and to mark the movement towards a slow and socially and environmentally sustainable city.
Slow fashion is the antidote to the fast pace that has enveloped the fashion industry. A process that has become increasingly damaging to the earth and the people on it. At Sancho’s, we aim to make people think twice before buying about where and how an item was produced. That is why we are excited to work with InExeter to host the Slow Fashion Show during Exeter Fashion & Beauty Week this September.
Running from Tuesday 17 – Saturday 22 September #EFBW celebrates fashion and beauty retail across the city. From high street names, boutique independents, vintage traders to leaders in sustainable fashion, Exeter Fashion & Beauty Week offers a great chance to enjoy style at its best.
On the evening of the 21st September, InExeter and Sancho's will be hosting a night celebrating slow fashion that will highlight Autumn/Winter lines from selected independent businesses. We will also be showcasing designers and brands from the South West and providing a space for community groups to present their projects through fashion.
The evening will start with a drinks reception underneath the canopy of the Cathedral arches, where guests will be invited to browse stalls and presentations from the South West’s sustainable business community, as well as take part in workshops and review galleries. At 8pm, we will take our seats to enjoy Exeter’s second Slow Fashion Show.
