Running from the 11th-20th October, the prestigious Two Moors Festival is now in its 19th year and with an incredible line up of nationally renowned artists, unmissable music and breath-taking venues spread across both Exmoor and Dartmoor, the classical music festival is a must see.

The Two Moors Festival will showcase amazing artists as well as highlighting both Dartmoor and Exmoor’s built heritage by hosting inspirational performances, talks, workshops and masterclasses in beautiful and rural venues including Exeter Cathedral; Tithe Barn, Dunster; Blundell’s School, Tiverton and St Andrew’s Church, Wiveliscombe. Artists taking part in the festival include The Wells Cathedral School Saxophone Quartet and Brass Quintet, Roderick Williams, Dame Sarah Connolly, English Concert, Imogen Cooper, Lutoslawski Duo and Elias Quartet.

Launching the festival, Ashley Riches, Baritone and Joe Middleton, Pianist will give audiences a programme inspired by the movement of birds and insects. The concert will be held at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum on the evening of the 11th October to tie in with the museum’s 2019 theme of migration.

Also, not to be missed, is an amazing showcase of young talent. Running since 2002, Two Moors Festival Young Musicians Competition creates a platform and performance opportunities for passionate musicians under 19, living and /or going to school in the south west. Entries for the competition have now grown to stretch across the region. This year saw 4 budding musicians take the prize and will now go on to perform during the festival at Priory Church of St George, Dunster on the 19th October.

The nationally renowned Two Moors Festival will run from the 11th-20th October and takes place across the moors in 15 stunning locations.
