‘100 Years of Buses in Devon’ book to raise money for Westbank
The commemorative book ‘100 years of bus travel’ by Author, Pat Avery
Local transport author and Stagecoach South West Commercial Officer, Pat Avery, has written a book that looks at the history and commemorates the centenary of The Devon General Omnibus and Touring Company the first bus operators that started operations in south Devon with two bus routes from Exeter to Torquay in 1919, following the story of the company before it became part of Stagecoach in the late 90s.
All profits from the book sales will go to local South West based charity Westbank Community Health and Care, in Exminster. Since 1986 Westbank has been delivering health and wellbeing support to people across Devon.
