East Devon Council invites entries for calendar
It's 'Bluebell Week' - a PR wheeze from East Devon District Council which is looking for the best spring photographs of 2021.
They want people to send in photos of landscapes, wild flowers or wildlife spotting this spring. The top 12 entries will then feature in the 2022 Wild East Devon calendar.
The overall winner will receive a voucher for two places on a summer event such as a tour of Seaton Wetlands or nature reserve, with runners up getting a selection of folding wildlife guides, so it's hardly likely to break the council budget.
Entries should be made by email to wild@eastdevon.gov.uk or tag your image on social media with @eastdevon and #springeastdevon before 31 May.
Wild East Devon Ranger Will Jones said: "Please be careful of your footsteps when taking the photos. In your quest to capture the beauty of the wildlife and countryside, don't accidentally cause any damage."
