Police are keen to hear from any potential witnesses
A 14-year-old boy's been arrested, in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl in Newton Abbot.
It is reported to have happened near public toilets in Courtenay Park on Friday the 28th of June between 2pm and 3pm.
The boy has since been released on bail, whilst police say the girl is currently being supported by specialist officers.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Will Young, said: “We are continuing to investigate reports of a serious sexual assault in Newton Abbot two weeks ago. Police enquires remain ongoing but we are also seeking information from the public, specifically anyone who may have seen two young persons in the area of the covered bench.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area of Courtney Park between 2pm and 3pm on 28 June and saw anything suspicious. We’d also like to hear from anyone with any relevant information.”
