The East Devon company named and shamed for failing to pay an employee the minimum wage says it was a genuine mistake and was put right as soon as it was pointed out.
Plumbing firm CPS South West in East Budleigh was put on a Government blacklist of 25 companies which had been caught.
But Sarah Biggs from the firm says the error only amounted to 261 pounds underpayment, to a young apprentice.
She says as soon as the tax office highlighted it, they did all they could to rectify the problem, and ensure that a similar mistake wouldn't happen again.
