It happened near West Exe School, Exeter, this morning
Parents across the city have been sent warning text messages and emails after a 12 year old girl was approached by 2 men in a small white van this morning (Wednesday 16th January)
It is said to have happened between Saint Hill Close and Cowick Lane - opposite the school - at around 8am this morning.
Police said in a statement: "Police were informed of an incident where a girl was approached, by two men in a small white van, whilst she was walking to school.
The incident is reported to have taken place on St Hill Close, Exeter at around 8am this morning [16/1]. The girl was unharmed.
The passenger of the van is described as a man around 40 years old. He is believed to have brown balding hair and a beard.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 146 of 16/01/19."
