Lifeguard patrols are winding down on many Devon and Cornwall beaches from this weekend.
After Sunday, 28 September, some popular spots will continue to be manned until the beginning of November.
RNLI Regional Lifeguard Lead for the Southwest, Harry Sadler-Ivan, says, 'We've had another busy summer and our lifeguards have once again done a fantastic job of keeping people safe.
He also reminds beachgoers to check local tide times and forecasts, and be aware of the risk of cold water shock as temperatures drop."
