It replaces 'This is it' on High Street
Plans for a replacement trader for the long-closed This Is It store on Exeter High Street have been revealed.
The budget store that sold toys, games, party supplies and homeware closed for the final time in January 2019, and the unit has been vacant since. But now Acuitis Optical & Hearing have unveiled plans to take over the premises. They've applied for permission to put up new signs.
The French company sells an in-house range of men’s, women’s and children’s optical frames and sunglasses, as well as offering audiology assessments and fitting of Widex hearing glasses and TV streaming hearing aids.
In a statement with the application, they say that consideration has been given to ensure that the shop front is looks nice and is sympathetic to its surroundings. Exeter City Council planners will determine the fate of the application at a later date.
