The provision of two new railway halts for Exeter is due to take a step forward this evening.
Applications by Devon county council for the mini-stations at Clapperbrook Lane in Marsh Barton, and at Newcourt, south of Digby and Sowton, go before the city council's planning committee, who're being recommended to approve them.
Both will be served by local trains between Exmouth and Paignton.
Services between Exmouth and Barnstaple will also stop at the Newcourt station, which will be close to the planned new Ikea store and housing development.
