Offenders cook free lunches for elderly in Exeter

More than 150 offenders have benefited from a scheme that sees them cook food for elderly people in Exeter.

It's claimed that they learn valuable skills to help them turn their lives around.

Elderly churchgoers at Mint Methodist Church in Fore Street can enjoy a two course lunch every Monday.

The food is planned, prepared, cooked and served by offenders from across the westcountry as part of their Community Payback.

It's hoped that those with convictions learn useful skills to help them transform their lives.

More than 150 offenders have been involved with the scheme since its launch in 2010.
