A large solar power farm looks set to be built at Broadclyst. East Devon councillors will be asked to grant planning permission later this month - despite concerns from some local residents.
The solar panels would be laid out over nine fields near Crannaford House and would generate renewable energy for supply to the national grid.
Some people are unhappy about the size of the development and think it would spoil the landscape.
However Government guidance stipulates that renewable energy schemes should be approved if the impact is 'acceptable', and that's considered to be the case with this proposal.
East Devon's planning committee are being recommended to approve the application later this month.
