8 to 10 acres thought to be affected
Fire crews have tackled a blaze in a barley field near Exeter.
Emergency services were called to the field near Kennford at 14.38pm on Wednesday 9 July and believe 8 to 10 acres of standing crops were affected.
Fire appliances from Danes Castle and Clyst St George were originally sent to the scene along with a water carrier from Torquay.
Crews from as far as Ashburton and Totnes were also called in to help.
