Police are asking for the public's help in naming their new tractor.

The agricultural vehicle was unveiled at the Devon County Show and loaned to the force by Masons Kings. The tractor will be seen at other agricultural shows across the region this summer.

Anyone under the age of 12 is now being given the opportunity to pick the official name for the tractor, which joins its sister at Dorset Police appropriately named 'Robo Crop'.

The competition is open until midnight on Sunday 11 June and the winning name will be announced at the Woofstock Festival at Powderham Castle a week later.

PC Clarke Orchard said: "At the Devon County Show we revealed the new asset, and the response from the public was fantastic.

“As we expected, the tractor sparked lots of informative and enlightening chats with farmers from across the county, but one question that kept being asked surprised us, children wanted to know what the tractors name was. So, we have decided to throw it open to the kids of Devon and Cornwall, send in your suggestions and give the tractor its official name!”
