Four employees from Exeter CITY Community Trust have joined Active Devon's Big Devon March

The members of staff representing City Community Trust, Exeters leading health and wellbeing charity, in this year’s event include: Jamie Vittles, head of community, Peter Ferlie, health and wellbeing officer, Craig Townsend, business development manager and Abbie Britton, Exeter City FC women’s coach.

Last year, 77 business across Devon took part and walked a combined total of 28, 000 miles, the equivalent of walking the circumference of the earth.

This year, the ambition is to walk the length of a virtual South West Coast Path.

On average, people sit for 10 hours per day, 50 hours a week, 200 hours every month. Active Devon are urging people to become more active and get involved with the Big Devon March.

Walking has widely acknowledged mental, physical and emotional benefits, which all play an important part in workplace wellbeing. All that’s required is to walk more, log your distance and win prizes. It’s all completely free and lots of fun. To register your interest or to get involved, visit activedevon.org/marchwithus
