The wind and rain didn't ease overnight and is set to continue for much of today.

Met Office weather warnings remain in place on Sunday (16th February). 

  • A yellow warning for rain is in place till 9pm tonight
  • A yellow warning for wind is in place until midday today
  • An amber warning for rain (covering parts of Dartmoor and South Devon only) is in force until 1500.

Devon's Fire Service says it was busy last night dealing with calls about dangerous structures and flooding. 

The Environment Agency has issued more than 200 flood warnings across the country, which means flooding is expected and action is required.

A number of roads are blocked because of flooding, fallen trees and landslips. Follow the County Council on twitter for the latest @Devon Alert

The train line between Exeter and Tiverton is blocked because of flooding at Cowley Bridge and Cross Country says it "will be blocked all day" The County Council says it doesn't expect the booms to be activated.

Cross Country says it is trying to source road transport, but because of the conditions on the roads, "very little is available".
