Swimming pool won't go ahead if we win, say Tories

Local elections in May could end development plans on Exeter bus station site

Plans for a new swimming pool to replace the ageing Pyramids centre are could be in jeopardy if the Conservatives win the local elections in May.

Just last week, Exeter Swimming Club objected to the plans. They want a competition-sized pool. Other critics want a theatre instead.

The Tories say they'll stop the plans if they take control of the council. Alphington councillor John Harvey says a new city centre pool on the bus station site has little support.
