We hear...

That first half against Slough Town on Saturday was a wonderful 45 minutes of football (if you forget the two goals we gifted the visitors). We hear from manager Paul Wotton who talks about that game and Saturday's visit to AFC Cotton in the FA Cup. Just don't mention Bishops Cleeve! There is some better news on the injury front with some players closing in on a return, but spare a thought for Munashe Sunder, wh...

David and Clives talk about the two games, and we look forward to a home game against Slough Town on Saturday.
The injury list comes up with some bad news about Munashe Sindire's hamstring problem, and perhaps some better news for this we...

They talk about that final friendly against Weymouth and a possible starting line up for Saturday - with all agreed that 10 of the 11 players are pretty much nailed on. So that leaves one question mark - right in the centre of the park.
The podcast...
It takes a lot to get the Yellow Army podcasters out from behind their screens, but the offer of tea and cakes by the seaside seems to have done the trick.
Invited to record this week’s edition sitting outside a beach hut beside Preston Sands, they jumped at the chance. Hence a podcast with the sea in the background and one brief interruption when the heavens opened and threatened to turn their notebooks into papier mache.
On the agenda this week is a look back at the Exeter friendly and ahead at the trip to Weymouth, along with a bash at naming the starting XI for the league opener again...
Torquay United had contrasting results in the past week with that wonderful 3-1 win against Newport County followed by Wednesday's 6-0 defeat at Plainmoor by Plymouth Argyle.

Guy Henderson and Richard Hughes talk about the two games, and how pre-season is going. They talk about the different balls used on Wednesday, and the make-up of the crowd - with many more than the 1,500 Argyle fans in the crowd of over 5,000.
We are closing in on the season and...

The pitch is looking good, with pre-season training not far off now. There is a new CEO, and David remembers footballer and county music star Dick Edwards, who we lost this week.
Until next wee...
Welcome to the final Torquay United Yellow Army Podcast before a two-week break because of holidays in the sun, and in the wilds of Norfolk.
Guy Henderson and David Thomas join Richard Hughes in his kitchen to sift through the latest news coming out of Plainmoor, which isn't an awful lot.
But somehow, the podcasters managed 45 minutes with chat about players who are yet to sign their offered deals - and thoughts on a smaller squad next season, despite seven subs now allowed.
We also talk through the women's disappointing end to their season, the Goal of the Season choices - and there is...
Welcome back to the Torquay United Podcast - and this week we aren't overheating, as Guy Henderson, Richard Hughes and David Thomas sit in a shaded Paignton studio (Guy's dining room/home office).

...
The Torquay United Yellow Army Podcast took to the garden with coffee and biscuits but didn't think about keeping the phone recording Guy Henderson, Richard Hughes and David Thomas in the shade.
Torquay are always the hot topic but next week it will be an overheating phone that will lead the discussion.
For now, enjoy three men in a garden, the sounds of birds, hill-climbing cars, and half an hour of Torquay chat - before the phone was heated by the sun into shutdown mode.
The retained list dominates and there is a fond farewell to Dean Moxey - a man so professional he wouldn't have let ...

Richard and Guy Henderson are joined by David Thomas in Richard's kitchen as we move into a massive summer for the Gulls.
On the table is talk about that game against Boreham, what will happen once the dust has settled, and who might stay and who might go. Also, incomers anyone?
It hurts right now but let's get together and be as one for next season. It's going to be a great...
So it came down to just two goals - with Torquay United missing out on the sole automatic promotion slot when they won 4-1 at Hemel Hempstead Town, but Truro City won 5-2 against St Albans City in Cornwall.

This National South season has been an extraordinary one and still on the last day any one of six teams could win it. The other five will have to prepare for the play-offs.

It's going to be wet and windy apparently - and perhaps not one for the purists.
With Weymouth coming to Plainmoor on Monday, too, this is one big weekend for the Gulls. Come on you Yellows.

It was a frustrating watch on Saturday as Torquay United took the lead against Chesham United - only to be denied the three points by two breakaway goals. The ref didn't help - Chesham started wasting time from the first time the goalkeeper had the ball, yet he was only booked in the 97th minute, when the yellow card essentially had become pointless.
The Yellow Army Podcast is a four-hander today with Guy Henderson and Richard Hughes joined by David Thomas and Clive Hayward.
That defeat on Saturday wasn't solely down to poor refereeing though and the we hear from Gulls boss Paul Wotton, and...
