Ferne Animal Sanctuary: Paws Around Exeter

Who let the dogs out! Ferne Animal Sanctuary has and you must find them all!

The Sanctuary was founded at the start of WW2 when servicemen and women going away didn’t have anyone to look after their pets. Fast forward over 80 years and today the charity is continuing to take in animals from across Devon and beyond to find them loving, forever homes.

It costs more than £1 million a year to keep the Sanctuary going and fund their vital work.

What is 'Paws Around Exeter'?

From May to August, 20 fabulous 5ft dog sculptures can be found all around Exeter. This exciting trail will take you on an adventure of discovery as you explore the wonders of the city with dog-friendly routes aiming to help raise awareness of pet ownership and the Sanctuary's work.

Find them all and share them, especially Jeremiah, proudly sponsored by Radio Exe. Each dog has a QR code on the plaque and if you scan all 20 you'll be entered into a prize draw.

Download a copy of their trail map.

Each dog has been individually designed, painted and is truly unique.
