The mobile library service in parts of Devon looks set to be discontinued - because the county council says there are dozens of places it visits which only attract three people.
A consultation's being launched on changes to the mobile library service which the county council says will save 200 thousand pounds a year.
They include the proposal to remove 69 stopping-places - many in small villages - from the mobile libraries' service.
The county council says only about 160 people will be affected.
The places that would no longer be visited include Exmouth Brixington, Alphington's Chantry meadow in Exeter, and several small villages in east and mid Devon.
The other visits could be reduced in frequency from every two weeks to once a month - but home deliveries to disabled people would remain in place.
