A computer virus sent by email has caused a huge headache for Tiverton town council - after it encrypted all the documents on the council's computers.
The message purported to be from a company with a parcel needing collection and contained a link which was meant to provide details of where to find it.
But instead it turned all the documents on the council's computers into gobbledegook.
However some finance and planning documents were on a different system or the council website - so they haven't been affected.
