Two rogue builders who cold-called customers in Devon, carried out shoddy repair work and then forced them to pay unreasonably high fees have been jailed.
Exeter Crown Court heard that the men, all based in Farringdon near Exeter, targeted elderly or vulnerable people.
One man from Dawlish came back from holiday to find they'd done some work he hadn't agreed to - for which they demanded payment.
Thomas Maughan and Thomas Mahon both denied conspiracy to defraud customers but were found guilty and jailed for 12 months.
A third man, Matthew Latham, had admitted the charge and received a five month suspended sentence.
