The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital says it has contingency plans in place should talks to avoid a junior doctors strike break down today.
Those representing the junior doctors and government negotiators are meeting at the conciliation service, ACAS.
The dispute centres around contract changes which could lead to longer hours and less pay.
If the talks breakdown today, the 24 hour strike will start at 8am tomorrow.
In a statement, the Royal Devon & Exeter hospital says they will ensure patient safety, and emergency services will be maintained throughout the planned strike.
If the walkout goes ahead tomorrow, the R,D & E will have to cancel some outpatient appointments and non-urgent work.
