The housing minister has confirmed that the Cranbrook development just outside Exeter is to get 20 million pounds in Government funding.
It follows a bid submitted to the Government by the partnership behind the new town, for cash to speed up the building of around six thousand new homes.
The minister Mark Prisk visited the town himself yesterday to see how the development is progressing.
