Two women became involved in an argument on the Strand
There is an appeal to help find a witness who intervened to stop an assault in Torquay over the weekend, during which a woman suffered two broken wrists.
It happened outside Hoopers on the Strand, at around 2am on Sunday morning [16 February].
Two women became involved in an argument before one pushed the other to the ground and assaulted her.
The victim, aged in her 30s, suffered two broken wrists and other injuries and required surgery and hospital treatment.
Officers are hoping to speak with the male witness who intervened in the incident.
