Further checks will be carried out today on what's being described as a suspicious device found in a garden in Exeter yesterday evening.
A suspicious device caused a bomb scare in Exeter yesterday evening.
The device was found in the back garden of an unoccupied house in Bramley Avenue in Whipton.
20 homes were evacuated and a 50 metre cordon set up.
The bomb disposal squad attended and made the device safe.
Police say they can't tell us any more as investigations are still ongoing.
