    Bradshaw: possible new Brexit vote?

Exeter MP calls for party unity in conference week

Exeter's MP says his party's is moving quickly toward supporting another vote on Brexit.

Labour's annual conference starts on Sunday in Liverpool and ahead of it, Ben Bradshaw's told the Western Morning News that they should unite around a People's vote on the outcome of negotiations with the EU about the terms of Britain's withdrawal next March. He's also called for party unity, focusing on opposing the Tories, rather than "naval gazing."

He says that Exeter Labour group has drawn up a motion for the conference calling for such a referendum.

Mr Bradshaw is an ardent retainer. Exeter too voted remain in the 2016 poll.
