It happened on the A361 in the early hours of Monday
Police have shared this image of what they describe as a "shocking incident" on the North Devon Link Road this morning (Monday 30th September).
It happened at 3.13am on a footbridge that runs over A361, between Whiddon Valley and the Bishops Tawton roundabout.
A breeze block was thrown from the bridge and hit a car travelling underneath.
Officers said "incredibly" there were no injuries, but added "we need to know who did this".
