Boat owners in Devon are being targeted in a safety campaign by the local fire service this week.
It's highlighting the fact that fires on boats spread very quickly and are hard to tackle.
Safety adviser Alan Coxon from the fire service says one of the main risks is the amount of highly inflammable fuel kept on board.
There's also a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning from the fumes - and he advises boat owners to install both smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
