Driver left in the hands of the ambulance service
Two fire appliances were called to South Molton yesterday evening (Tuesday 2nd March) after a car had gone through a wall and down a 6ft embankment, trapping someone inside.
Shortly after the South Molton crew arrived on scene, they confirmed that whilst the casualty was still inside the car, they were medically not physically trapped.
Crews set to work stabilising the vehicle using a winch and small tools, before assisting paramedics with releasing the casualty. Once the scene and vehicle was made safe, duty of care was left with the police and recovery service. The casualty was left in the hands of the ambulance service.
