Exeter's Rape Crisis service is getting a funding boost to support its work with child victims of sexual abuse or exploitation.
Devon and Cornwall's Police and Crime Commissioner has acquired £140,000 from the Ministry of Justice and is sharing it out between six organisations doing similar work.
They also include the Children's Society and Victim Support.
Alison Hernandez says at the moment many traumatised youngsters aren't getting the help they need.
