Devon's rape crisis service has been saved from possible closure by a 20 thousand pound grant from the Police and Crime Commissioner's office.
The service, with branches in Exeter, Tiverton, Cullompton, Exmouth and Dawlish, was facing a shortfall in income for the next financial year when its government funding ran out.
Last year it supported 800 women who'd been victims of rape or sexual abuse.
