Devon's rape crisis service is warning that there's always an increase in sexual violence against women at this time of year.
Christmas sees a rise in domestic violence - and there's also the risk that women going out to celebrate could find themselves the victims of sexual assault.
The service says anyone targeted should seek help - not make excuses for their attacker.
