The campaign to create a Business Improvement District in Exeter is making good progress.
If it goes ahead it'll see city centre businesses contributing a small amount to a central pot of funding, which will be spent on trade-boosting measures.
The proposed measures are now being drawn up so that participating traders can vote on them early next year.
The vice president of the Exeter Chamber of Commerce, Derek Phillips, is pleased with the way things are going.
