Exeter's city centre manager has defended a steep increase in car parking charges.... expected to be approved by councillors today.
They'll mean the cost of parking for two to three hours will be at least three pounds in many of the short-stay shoppers' car parks, including King William Street, Howell Road, Magdalen Street, Magdalen Road and the Civic Centre.
If agreed the rises will come into effect in January.
John Harvey says people shouldnt be too quick to criticise, as a lot of investment has gone into the car parks in recent years, and local businesses understand the need to raise revenue through parking.
