Exeter city centre is to benefit from better marketing, improvements to shopping areas and a range of other measures to boost trade.
Sixty-one per cent of traders have voted in favour of creating a Business Improvement District, and contributing money towards the measures they've chosen themselves.
A company will now be set up to take the proposals - representing an investment of 2.4 million pounds - forward.
