A road in Exeter remains closed this morning after flooding caused a sandstone wall nine metres high to collapse last night.
The wall is at the junction of St David's Hill and Hele Road.
Thermal imaging cameras were used to check the rubble and ensure that no-one was trapped underneath.
The elderly residents of some nearby flats were evacuated as a precaution, because of concerns that other sections of the wall could come down.
Staff were called in from the city and county councils to ensure that their needs were met.
Hele Road is closed, and the area around the landslide is cordoned off by police.
