Armed assault on man and dog
A security guard and his dog have been attacked at Winslade Park, an upmarket residential and commercial development at the former London and Manchester Assurance base at Clyst St Mary, near Exeter.
The assault, at around 10.50 p.m. on Tuesday 1 December, came as the guard came across four men attempting to force entry to a unit on the edge of the site, just off Church Lane. Both he and the dog were attacked with weapons, with the guard sustaining wounds to his head and hands.
The offenders are described white men, possibly with Eastern European accents, who quickly made off.
