A decision to extend voluntary exclusion zones in the Exe Estuary, to protect birds, has been criticised by a group of boat users. .
Councillors voted unanimously to extend the existing voluntary exclusion zone off Exmouth, and create an additional zone at Dawlish Warren.
The restriction will apply to kitesurfers, windsurfers and dog walkers as well as people out in boats.
Rex Frost, chair of the Exe Port User Group, doesn't think there's a real scientific basis for the decision, and is concerned about its effects on his members.
