The leader of East Devon district council says he's comfortable with the possibility of the local authority relocating to Cranbrook near Exeter.
Councillors have officially agreed to relocate from their current premises at Knowle in Sidmouth and are now looking at possible sites in both Cranbrook and Honiton.
Paul Diviani says the council would still retain a presence in towns such as Exmouth, Axminster and Honiton, and that staff would be out and about around the district.
