Devon is to benefit from a change in the Government's system for allocating emergency funding, after incidents such as storms and flooding.
Local authorities can apply for Bellwin funding to pay for clean-up costs and temporary repairs.
The county council has welcomed the news that it can now make a claim for any damage costing more than a million pounds - it was formerly one-point-seven million.
But it's hoping the review will lead to the funding being available for permanent repairs to infrastructure.
